No, There are other types of whale watching in Cabo. There may still be whale sharks in La Paz, two hours north of Cabo. You could ask at Marina La Paz. There have been many recently but its hard to predict.

If you can schedule a trip around September/October (I believe) to Bahia de Los Angeles, you will have one of the best opportunities to swim with whale sharks in the south end of the bay. Perhaps some of the BOLA regulars can chime in.......

I know this doesn't answer your question, but hope to offer options at a later date.

Whale Sharks have been spotted over the years in Cabo. Check with a Dive shop to see whats up at that time, as I remember we would see them after the water changed.

Hola bajame, if you go to cabo and there aren't any whale sharks, just walk around the town and you will be confronted by many sharks of a different species ! ha-ha...don't know how to put those smiles things on.

Bola is a long way from Cabo so this probably will not help Bajame or his son. I live in the south bay of Bahia, and have seen whale sharks here every year for the last 13 years. Some years more than others, but every year without fail. I have seen them as early as June and as late as November. The local Pangeros have been trained as to how to approach the whale sharks and how to conduct tours so as not to disturb the animals too much. Doc Abraham from camp Gecko is involved and he would be a good source for info on how to arrange for snorkle tours to see the whale sharks.
