I have them from last year downloaded on my computer----you can fill them out on the computer, but the computer will not save the information---so you need to print and then copy it.

If any one would like a copy, U2U with your e-mail and I will forward you a copy. The form is in Acrobat Reader.

Oh, when we stopped at Guerrero Negro, I asked if the form was the same and was told yes.

As of May 1st it is a different form from last year. Here in CSL the INM office has set up a desk in the waiting room with a computer on it so anyone can fill out and print the forms.

This is where it is going to continue to be really confusing. Two days ago we showed the Immigration office in Guerrero Negro the old form and she told us that they are using the same form.

She also admitted that they are all still a little confused---we will see when we actually apply for renewal in a couple of weeks. :?:

Only in Spanish. Be aware even if you speak Spanish it takes a while to decode how to use it, and won't work if you have pop-ups blocked.

To use it (from my article at SanFelipeLife.com), for an FM-3 extension: Pick a country from the list (wait for it to build), then select vivir en mexico. Chose temporal, then rentista, then 5 for extension. then click on Formato de estancia under Requisitos to get the form.

I think it's then supposed to pop up a PDF copy of it that you can print. Use at your own risk, no guarantees your local INM office will understand it! All the offices are supposed to be using the new FB form in place of the FM1 application.

At least one person here in San Felipe has tried it, she couldn't get it to print locally, but it did submit something that the INM office was able to find in the system (SETRAM) and they could print it off for her at the office.

I'm saying thanks in advance to all of you pioneers who are about to renew your FM3's. Mine isn't due til February 2011 in La Paz.

Please keep us posted on your experiences.
