Questions on BOLA

Hello,

We are planning to travel, on a sailboat, to BOLA in the next 4-5 weeks to spend several months. Wondering what type of provisions may be available, if any, as well as water and gas. Also, would anyone know if the Banda Ancha 3G internet plug -in works there, or if there is any internet access in town?

Thanks,

Al

welcome to the board. I can not help you at all never been there.
But hopefully Larry will see this and let you know. He lives at the Bay.
Hope you have a great time and enjoy the ride.

There are a few internet spots in town, there is no cell reception. 2 Pemex, 4 or 5 groceries, 3 hardware stores etc. See http://www.bahiadelosangeles.info/ aka Mia's site.

As Santiago said there is gas and water here, but you will have to lug your jugs around and depending on where you land your dinghy, it can be a long haul. There will be alot of other cruisers here about that same time. Internet is available at 2 or 3 different locations and there are several grocery stores. Also long istance phone service to the US. Not sure if you know Dave and Deb on the Wave Sweeper, they recently rented a house here and are on VHF ch 68, you might want to call them, they were cruisers for a long time but have settled down here at least for the summer. VHF ch68 is the local net, and then most go to another channel to talk. Enjoy your stay here.
