It is hard for me not to say anything... I have discussed this with Doug before...
Doug knows how much I have told him to create promo products for Nomad, that he could sell them. Heck, put 'Baja' on anything and folks like us will
buy it.
I see no problem with an honest man (like Doug) accepting payment/orders in advance so he has funds to make the shirts/ hats/ whatever it is we
want... Give him a reasonable time period to collect orders, have the product made, and ship out... Maybe say 4-6 weeks (like all those products sold
on late night TV).
Doug... "your people" want these things.

I know I've been out of the "t-shirt" production line for a while, but if I remember correctly...
there are silk screened prints and iron-transfer shirts.
Obviously, the silk screened shirts are better but they also require a significant set up charge and a minimum run. I've had my graphics people send
us a few iron-on transfers, and we also ordered a SMALL run of shirts (maybe 10???) many moons ago using the iron on transfers and a local t-shirt
print shop that had the high-heat t-shirt iron.
Just throwing this out to Senor BajaNomad,....... perhaps one of the BN members would be willing to coordinate the ordering and shipping of a limited
run of shirts using the iron transfers...... Or, if there is enough interest, using the same coordinated effort, a limited run of silk-screened
shirts (which are more expensive).
The beauty of the iron on transfers is that they can be done to almost exactly the number of orders that there are. The down-side is, they are not as
durable through wear and wash as the silk screens.
JMHO~ what's the feelings from the boss and others?

I have an online store selling custom items of my designs ranging from poker to vintage RV stuff. I will be adding Baja swag shortly. The latest
technology is a print on demand process using inks in lieu of silk screening paints. This is a digitized process with out any set up time or costs,
there by making printing a single item cost effective, as well as allowing customization of individual printing ( ie: adding a name ) The process
creates vivid colors and doesn't "feel" like a piece of plastic on your chest. This process, unlike iron transfers, is extremely durable and long
lasting. Unlike a screen process which uses only 1-6 colors, the on demand process can use millions of colors, so printing a simple design up to a
full color photograph is possible. The inked area feels the same as the rest of the shirt. This doesn't work on dark shirts, where a white transfer
must be applied, then printed. It is ideally suited for light colors and white.
I was hoping to hear from Doug before adding the Baja items.
I've asked Doug for permission to use " Baja Nomad" and his trademarked "peace, love and fish tacos", but he has not replied with an answer. I could
split the profit from his items, to help support the site hosting costs.
I'll take custom requests now. For example - If you would like an item with a design based on Coyote Bay, I'll add it with out any obligation from
you. Or a design using your BN avatar and user name, just ask, again, no obligation.
All ideas welcome.

Let's see if you can work something out with Doug, it would be cool to have the BN logo and user name available.

The thing I hate about light colored shirts is they get stained way too easily so the graphic may look good but the salso stain means it gets
relagated to painting or rag duty.. Darker shirts it's not so noticible..

Hey Doug !!! Are you going to be able to get some inventory to fill these orders??? It's been 2 weeks since I ordered and I haven't received
anything yet. Is it still coming??? I would like a visor too, if you have any. Let me know what and when you have any. How about an update on my
order from June 7th. : )

What, what???
Folks, Doug is there... it may be just be enough that he keeps Nomad online for us to use and enjoy... If he doesn't want to make more stuff, then
just make your own. If you are like me, you may want to support Doug financially by buying Nomad stuff.
DOUG, DOUG!
