Catching a bus from La Paz to Loreto

We are flying into La Paz next week and need to take a bus to Loreto (and back again 3 weeks later). I found that ABC has a website, and you can book on-line. Do the other buses have a website? Can we just jump on a bus when we get there, or do we have to make reservations? Thanks...

Its so easy!

Get a taxi to the bus station on the malceon (the bus station with the best view in the world) and then go to the desk and get a ticket on the next bus that will go to Loreto. Its 475 pesos each way for an adult (1/2 off for kids) and it is about a 5 hour ride to Loreto. Busses leave about every hour or two around the clock. I do the trip all the time. About 25 kms north of La Paz there is a military check point. No biggie but its nice to know about. You'll need to get off the bus with your ticket and follow instructions. If its a full bus it will take about 20 mins or more. In Loreto there are taxis in front of the terminal that can take you into town. Cost is 50 pesos to go where you want in town, 200 for Nopolo. Enjoy the ride

Thanks for the help. It sounds pretty easy. We do have a car in Loreto- we own a home in Nopolo. But this is the first time we've done the bus from La Paz adventure. Normally we just fly direct from LAX to Loreto, but Alaska Airlines has downright unethical prices right now, so we are flying Volaris out of TJ to La Paz for 1/2 the price. Anyone done this?
