Is a title necessary?

hi all! first off, there's some great info on this board and i'm glad i was directed here.
there was one bit of information that i've not been able to verify though and i'm hoping a nomad would know.
can i bring my vehicle in without a title? i've heard that i can get it in with only my valid registration, but want to be absolutely certain before i head out.

thanks in advance!

If the registration is in your name similar to your drivers' license, you're set. Many years ago, before leasing became so popular, they were a bit stricter about proof of ownership. But nowadays, it's fine to have your vehicle registration. Just make certain you have Mexican liability insurance on the vehicle. It is foolhardy to drive in Mexico without valid Mexican insurance.
