gold mine


Did the Nomads know that there is a huge gold mine north of the military checkpoint at San Felipe. Cool ha?

hmmmmm...not sure about cool but possibly interesting! having watched the briggs mine in the panamint mountains, ca chew up the hillside for the last 15 years I know the carnage...and it's not pretty.

It's been there for years, at least for the nearly 20 years I've been coming to San Felipe (former Pacific side guy). The power lines leading to it were installed at least 15 years ago. It partially closed for about 5 years but recently re-opened and I read on SanFelipe.com.mx it was in full operation again. We see the dust from blasting often when driving by.

When the dollar regains strength and the price of gold plummets, they'll close operations again.

They use high pressure water to cut and wash the ore from the mountains. The water is from the two wells at the far south end of Laguna Salada.

Maybe right after the mid-term election when the Fed raises interest rates. That should crash the price of oil and gold.
