Have to concur...VERY nice and comfortable...after a long hot drive to have a cold Pacifico with the friendly and knowledgable proprietors (Bob and Susan...who else) and swim in their refreshing pool. Then sleep soundly in their air conditioned rooms. The beach is very nice and the kids would love collecting shells.

Cutexie, I thought the same thing! Bob and Susan, we totally missed your place but will definitely look for it on our way back to the States. I hope you have a room available next week! :)

Hairwild, when do you leave? How is La Paz... when did you get there?

We got to Cabo yesterday and to the hotel at 6pm... daughter went swimming at dusk...LOL We ate next door because that was the only "snack bar" open with the prices I was willing to pay. The first group of people we spoke to were from San Diego... I told them I could pick um!! LOL

We got here Monday, sorry for the delay replying, our little one has been going to bed way past her bedtime, I fall asleep the moment I hit the pillow. Sadly, we have to head back to SD on Saturday morning due to changes in the school district, now kids have to go back to school on July 21st grrr...

Visited Cabo yesterday... jellyfish!! ugh.. i can see the allure of Cabo but it's not our cup of tea, it's too much like the States, and for me, the USA is the perfect place to live, not to vacation in. We're ready to go back to the warm beaches of Bahia Concepcion! :)

Hey hairwild.. i havent seen any jellyfish yet, but havnt been on the beach except for the lands end tour and lovers beach which a wave crashed on me and it was so strong I feel, and felt stupid! LOL My hotel is on the beach and I havnt laid out on the beach here yet, that is sad. So much to do. We have extended until the 23rd, (friday)... staying next door at the Arco, we cancelled our 3 nights in san jose... i love it here.

Our last night in La Paz... and the mood is sad but excited to go back to Bahia Concepcion! I've been searching for the name of the hotel you guys recommended while staying in the Cataviņa area, but can't find it. Any thoughts?

There is only ONE 'hotel', the over-priced Desert Inn (formerly La Pinta, formerly 'El Presidente')... on the highway. A rather poor quality motel is just north of the hotel, on the opposite side of the highway... and there are bunk rooms (actually kind of nice) at Rancho Santa Ynez, a mile south of Cataviņa on a paved side road.

hi hairwild... have a great trip back and enjoy. If you stay in Catavina talk them down in price, someone on here I think talked 20 off the top.

David, I totally can relate to your quote, can't wait to do this again, and again, again!
Cutexi, I hope we get to meet someday! I checked the Dessert Inn website and yes, I think they're overpriced, but I'm not sure if they'd barge in when they see me with three kids. It doesn't hurt to ask, I know, yet, they probably take advantage of weary travelers....
