hola, does anyone have any information about santa rosalillita, just north of jesus maria ?

road conditions to the beach
room accomodations and cost
restaurants...taquerias
markets
surf fishing and what species
fuel
safety if i sleep in my suv and safety for my car while fishing

a friend used to surf fish it many years ago before the newer paved section and it was tremendous for calico bass. i am thinking about staying and fishing for two days on my way back to the states

i thank you in advance.

Hey Rat...mi esposo Juan has an awesome primo there to whom we often refer visitors. Ask for Martin Arce or I can U2U you his phone # too. It is pretty neat that you can get to Rosalillita in 15 minutes now on that super duper paved road!!! fishing & surfing are excellent and the village is a small fish camp so very safe. there is a restaurant or Martin can make you food too and you can camp at his place. He told me there is a new little hotel, economical too....I havent seen it and they do sell fuel there too...hook up with Martin for a real good baja adventure!!!

If you see a sign on the side of the road, a ways BEFORE town, for a campground, the road is good until you get to a fairly steep sandy downhill part that ends up at the camping sites. Very nice camping sites right on the wide beach. No problem going down the steep hill, but evaluate your ability to drive back up in the sand. I thought the beach was very shallow for a long ways out - waist high - not much surf - so don't know what species the surf fishing might attract - halibut maybe? Some large squid were found on shore the time I camped there. Good bait if you took a panga out.
