Suggestions?
Going on a cruise to Sea of Cortez in January on Azamara Journey. Ports include Cabo, Mazatlan, La Paz, Loreto, Topolobampo and Guaymas. Have been
to Cabo and Mazatlan, but not the others. Don't think we're up to the 16 1/2 hour Copper Canyon shore excursion, but do any of you have any
suggestions that are not-to-be-missed in any of these ports? This cruise departs from and returns to San Diego, so very convenient! Thanks for your
input.....

The dolphinarium in San Lucas is cool and probably has good prices for cruisers. Wear some thick booties, they bite your toes.

Great snorkeling at Hilton Cove (Carbo SH). Go to the left (north) over the submerged rocks. Rental near by 4 equipment. Good food / bev on the Hilton
beach there too.
A few miles away.....Cactus Museum San Jose Del Cabo.

Granted that the Copper Canyon excursion is long and also expensive. But, it is a fascinating and unique place. Given that you'll have the opportunity
to see it, if I were in your shoes, I'd do it.

Probably will go to Copper Canyon as a trip on its own someday--not so rushed. As an 18-hour shore excursion, I think it just sounds too
daunting...... Thanks for all the suggestions, though!

Hey, we're going on the same cruise! (as my wife just said.) Would love to do Copper Canyon, but the extra 500 bucks and the advice about bringing
overcoats, gloves, mufflers, etc., was a little discouraging. We'll try it as a separate trip, without the snow.

| Please don't support the practice of keeping dolphins captive. Dolphins belong in the wild.
