brown and montgomery fields are pretty cleay by 10:00 am today and for last few days. if too foggy for you vfr boys, you can go to gillespie.
weather will change midweek, and our perfect cool summer will end,... gonna get hot by end of the week, and probably end of june gloom and marine layer.

perfect - thx all even you Mr. Goat. see - we disagree but we can have fair and balanced social discourse.
i commuted to Brown field weekly in my bird from 2001 to 2004.
i AM instrument rated since 1985. i had to soup fly the VOR alpha approach into Brown most every morning as i needed to ARR by 8 ish to get to my office.

right now i am out of IFR currency to be legal in the soup and do not have time to go get a 6 month competency check from a CFII, ergo i need to stay VFR on this trip - so i will time ARR for + - 10-10:30.

actually i have all the WX services pre flight i need including real time actual weather display off nexrad on board. in addition to constant WX brief on radio channels enroute.
i just wanted some local input so i could nail the trend.
i have biz in TJ later this week and am staying 4 nites at the Marriott down town.
this will be fun, i have never stayed in TJ before! i hope to see some sights, tour the brewery and dodge cartel bullets.

Like yesterday (and most mornings this season) it is solid overcast... It does burn off in a couple hours however. I am 5 miles from the coast east of the Oceanside airport Ken.

This is typical May/June weather... however, it is hanging on into August. Have yet to turn on the AC this year (great for the electric bill)!

Hi again Mike... since 10 am it has been clear blue skys and just fantastic 'spring-like' weather (mid 70's)...

It is gorgeous right now (4:30pm) and I just drove up I-5 from Palomar Airport Road and the sky above the ocean is clear all the way to the horizon!
