Puerticitos is not what Moon Books or any other travel book claims it to be. Once a great spot to go to...now just an area of major decay. A store there....very limited to groceries. Very. The size of this store is no bigger than my garage...but the folks there are extremely nice. I once said that Puerticitos is where even the wild life wont go near (I caught a lot of slack from others here for that statement).

However.....a good spot for the boat ramp there. Calm little inlet bay to swim in. Natural hot springs to soak in after the gate Master soaks you for a entry fee! The gas station there is modern and good looking, except it's been closed 100% of the time for YEARS...fill up in SF and you be ok

The road there from SF is super fast now....being paved. I would stock up in SF, use that little Puerticitos store for water...whatever...and then Stay at La Costilla or maybe
Cristina.

Campo costilla is clean and has a couple of palapas. Bring everything you need, there are no banos or store there. It is about 6 miles south of ptos. Have a beer at Cow Patty's.
