Here what I've got. High end bikes:

Valenzuelas Bike shop, on Colima about 5 blocks up from the Abosolo.

If you get one there is a group that rides 3 days a week Centennario.

Contact me for info.

John, check your U2U - which is a personal message that can be accessed at the top of the page, in small blue writing.

Mt bike parts needed!

Just discovered this morning that my stem is broken! So cannot ride until repaired or replaced.

It's very doubtful that a repair is possible - it's aluminum and broken part clamps onto the steering bar - probably would no longer fit correctly if welded. And not sure I'd trust it to not break again.

So, I'm now on a quest to find another stem.

Is there a "high-end" (yeah, sure - good luck with that!) bike shop in La Paz that sells quality bike parts?

Alternatively, is there a way to have ordered parts shipped from USA to La Paz?

Gracias for any assistance. Rob

I'm with you on that, oxxo. Most such stores sell bikes that are junk.

Measure before you order
Is the steerer tube 1 inch or 1 1/8?
Do you have 25.4, 26, 31.8 mm handlebars?
The stem length is measured center to center. This is very important to get correct.
Do you have threadless or quill?
