question on using the bus
is there a website, where prices are posted?
if anyone knows: cost to take a bus from ensenada to guerrero negro, i assume it's the same price from g.n. to ensenada.
also from guerrero negro to san quintin?
can i buy a ticket online?
do i need to medicate myself...maybe a vicoden and beer. not kidding, i would rather be asleep, if the ride is sketchy.

Buses are fairly decent, almost comfortable. Strike that. They are comfortable. Rarely is there a report of a bus accident along the way, as the
drivers are veterans. Both ABC and Aquila make the run. It really does help to have a basic understanding of Spanish, if you are using them. Hey. If
you want to carry a flask on, do it. Trip can be boring, not being the driver, and if you are traveling at night....

We've traveled by bus many times on the mainland. Our experience has always been good. Comfortable seats with lots of leg room. We take our soft-sided
cooler with snacks and drinks.
I think the world is run by C- students.

Eight years ago from Sta Rosalia to Ensenada PM trip I actually slept like a baby all the way. Get a seat opposite traffic and if you can manage it
opposite the sunrise or set as well. Biggest wish-thing is an inflatable or other pillow bolster to go between me and the bulkhead or window. Bring
ear plugs for the Hijole!!! Kung-Fu! Movies!
Books for me are a loser. They jiggle too much to read. Hard freeze a jug of water and it'll defrost at a perfect rate as you go along. Bring a wad of
T.P. and small vial of hand sanitizer.
An IPOD with Books Online would be a godsend to bring along.
Gone TJ to San Lucas, Nogales to Tapacula, and Matamoros to Chetumal by bus and with a little prep work they care indeed survivable.

I rode TJ to Loreto (21 hrs) a few years ago. It was a very long night as I didn't have luggage and enough to keep me warm. The best part was that one
of the movies was "The Alamo" with sub-titles. The Mexicans applauded at all the "wrong" places. It was cool.

I've always had good experiences on buses here, I've been traveling on them by myself for quite a few years and have never ever had anything bad
happen.
Take a good book, a pillow, a blanket and some snacks and you should be set!

Some of our best trips traveling Mexico have been by bus, and many before they had the fancy plus busses. Great times.
Do be prepared for the army stops. Even long before the current troubles, the busses have always been subject to more searches. Just a good time
to stretch your legs.
Many years ago when the fancy busses were rather new, they even had some that had attendants and served booze---wonder if any of those are still
around?? Also had one that was awful. All of the seats were loungers---you could not sit up straight. Did not like that one.
Most of the time we have found the bus drivers to be very good, most of the time, even on some of those second class busses.

Just took the bus from Tijuana to Vizcaino a month ago, my only complaint is that the bus was PACKED.
good idea to sit in the front rows - less bumpiness
great idea to have snacks and drink - makes time pass quickly - and the movies help too.
Now , by FAR the best / scariest  bus ride was from Creel to Batolpilas, but you have to go to the trip report for that info
