San Pedro Martir

Here are a few from a trip I took there 9 yrs ago...

La Tasajera Road - leading to the stream where the San Pedro Martir Trout are found. This is an endemic species that should not be bothered, just observed.

Altar de la mirador

Venado Blanco Road - Rancho Viejo
This is an old Cowboy cabin at the end of the Venado Blanco road that has been closed to the public due to residents of the San Telmo area traveling to the end of this road, and intentionally setting fires. The gate can be opened upon request if traveling with park personnel.

Emigdio
This is a real friendly park employee that works alongside his Brother in the SSPM park.

Got Water?
Water is only provided to Park employees, but below the entrance to the SSPM park, is this water drum with water that drips into this water source that should be boiled before drinking. There is also a canyon below the last 45 deg. turn leading to the security gate at the SSPM park. You can swim and wash up in the stream that runs through this canyon.

The main Observatory Road in Vallecitos w/my good friend Andrew (R.I.P.)

I hope to return to the Sierra San Pedro Martir park in early 2011 with my Baja Grande crew!:bounce:

If you squirrel around the Baja Dark Skies Inn web site, there are some interesting pictures, including a few of the magnificent condor.
