Tecolote Beach Camping.
Looking for information on Tecolote in La Paz. Is beach camping practical? Any facilities on or near the beach area,
Palaps, water, Beer etc? Are any RV parks or camps in the area? Would appreciate any feedback. We’re planning on visiting Tecolote in November and
I’d would like to get my skids greased before we arrive.
Thanks, Bob

It's really more a day-use beach. I've seen tents pitched at the 'public' end of the beach by the palapas, but there is no water and there are no
bathrooms or concessions for beer or food.
At the commercial end of the beach there are restaurants with palapas, and also toy rentals (kayaks, wave runners, boat rides, etc).
I wouln't recommend it for camping. Balandra is not suitable for camping either.
You might want to look to the other side (Pescadero or Cerritos).
Experience enables you to recognize a mistake every time you repeat it.

As you drive into the beach area, you will see two resturants. We pulled in to the one on the right (or directly in front of you as you pull in) and
we asked if we could park our camper right there with a beautiful view of the water. No problem. We spent the night there and had a nice dinner at
the resturant. You will not have any problems camping there.... Great spot!

In November it might be difficult to find a camping space due to all the snow birds. There are plenty of restaurants but for supplies La Paz, and yes
it will be windy but beautiful. When you come to the end of the road just turn right and start looking be careful of sandy areas.

If you follow 5 de Mayo out past the La Paz dump, there are some beautiful deserted camping beaches.
