| Copper Canyon via Baja

From San Diego I am entering Baja October 4th. From La Paz I plan to ferry my "87 VW Syncro Westfalia to Los Moches. I plan to leave VW in secure
camping and catch the train in El Fuerte and spend the night in Divisidero (sp). Return to VW following day and continue north to Kino Bay. Home to
SD 18th or sooner. Any caravan interests reply to my e-mail address and we can discuss possibilities.
 Syncronaut,
 Brian

that is the essential gift. – B. Florez, Mission of Souls.

| Have a great time in Barranca de Cobre or Sierra Tarahumara

I was there in early '07. It was a great place to travel, and this is the perfect time of the year to go there.

The train station in El Divisadero

 Steep escarpment

Be sure to bring plenty of $$ to buy items from the Tarahumara people

Ken - those are some amazing photos .... really REALLY nice.

Brian Smith - If you type in Copper Canyon under search, you will find our trip report since we just went this past May. Trip of a lifetime. No
kidding.

The Tarahumara sell baskets for 20 pesos !! They are made of pine, never lose their smell or colors. They make snakes out of whittled wood, also 20
pesos. We thought all the nicknacks were ridiculously inexpensive ...... The hotel in Divisadero ..... noooooooooooooooot
))) But how awesome is that view ??? Can you really put a price on it ????
nahhhhhhhhh

The Mirador at Posada Barrancas is miles better for about the same price. IMHO
You can reserve thru Balderama Hotels.

This is a great time of year for Copper Canyon. But, remember you will be at altitude and it can get cold and rainy. Take a sweater, "wink!"
