Jesse's Las Tres Virgenes. One of the best meals I had in Baja. We will be back!

The owner is Baja Nomad member 'Jesse'...
Here he is when we met in 2004:

Doug 'BajaNomad' and Baja Bernie were also there, at jrbaja's home:

The party was the creation of 'BajaCactus' (Antonio) as a way we could meet and have some fun: http://vivabaja.com/bajacactus

Nomads,
A friend and I ate here two years ago....we got buffaloed
I ordered a rib steak...30% fat, 20% gristle...50% enjoyable w/ great flavour but a bit tough : $45.00
My friend ordered the "special", a "cowboy steak"... worse steak than mine : $45.00
When we asked about soup, the waiter looked down his nose at us and said "We don't serve soup here!" as if it was beneath them.
The service was terrible
I will never go back...
Just sayin'.....

We've had some good and some bad meals at Bufalo, but never all THAT good and
it's overpriced.
But Tres Virgenes is always right on, a much better value.
A good little everyday place is La Fonda, with the garden entrance on N.Bravo about 4 or 5 blocks up from the malecon, main entrance around the
corner. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner-- all good, low prices, pleasant place.
Really great tacos at El Poblano, a stand across from the old CCC on Abasolo. They have a big yellow banner, says Tacos El Ploblano. Tortillas made
right there, al pastor, carne asada, chorizo, and maybe more. Great toppings, nice people. Best taco stand ever!

We ditto the glowing comments about Tres Virgenes, and also suggest Caffé Milano if you are up for excellent Italian.

El Nido
Is the there a El Nido around? Great porterhouse steaks. I know there's one over in Loreto (still?).
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Is that a restaurant or a gentleman's club?

It is a nice little bar and restaraunt run by Jonathan and Jill Roldan. They run a very well known fishing charter biz, Tailhunter International, and
their new place is nice, and they are both nice people. Not fine dining, but good food and good people.

service!

I wouldn't eat at the Buffalo Grill, for no other reason that they have Marlin on the menu.... If I see Marlin on any menu when I get in a restaurant
I will get up and leave, also Turtle...both are illegal to be used in a restaurant. ( Turtle is a protected species)

Marlin is legal to sell in restaurants and fish markets in Mexico.
