Cabo Sky Tour?

Hi,

We are having a family get together in Los Cabos area later this year. My brother heard about Cabo Sky Tour and he wants to try, and asked me to arrange it. I own a place in BCS, but not familiar at all with Cabo area.

Have anybody done this ride (ultralight/glider ride) or heard about it? Is this a legit (safety wise) company? I emailed to the address I found online, but haven't heard back.

there are more than one.
i met one in nov 2007 while in Los Cabos for the soft opening of Cabo Azul and the baja 1000 finish in cabo.

it was a 2 seater trike with a Regallo style wing.
he used sand tires to take off and land on the beach.
price was about $100 for a 10 - 15 minute ride up and down the hotel zone.
i didn't see alot of takers at that price tho... he was spending a lot of time buzzing up biz.

i offered him some cash to let me take it up myself as the 2 of us exceeding the GVW, or gross vehicle's weight, aka MTOW max take off weight.

he didn't even know what that was or what the value was.

he's probably dead now....:smug:

I believe that there are a couple of people doing this. One is in front of or very near to the Hilton, the corridor, and the Crown Plaza, San Jose. I would bet you can arrange the trip the day of, as I seldom see them flying. I have never seen any in San Lucas.

I see the one in CSL regularly in the early evening before dusk but I dont know where they launch from. Capt Mikes words ring true. Several years ago a similar company (I have no idea if there is any connection) dropped two craft in the bay withing a month of so.
