Taking a empty boat trailer to SF ????

Hey ! got a question here !

A bud of mine is "cruising" around Baja from San Diego to San Fellipi.

He wants me to bring the boat trailer from SD to SF.

He has all the "T's" crossed and "I's" dotted as far as paperwork goes.

Will I have any "issues" crossing at Mexicalli with this empty
boat trailer ?????

Thanx...in advance

It would be just like any other trailer I would think. Just curious, what kind of trailerable boat is he using for this journey?

Make sure that your Mexican auto insurance is ammended to include the trailer... otherwise it is VOID if you have any accident while it is attached to your vehicle!

I really didnt think there would be any issues.
But this guy "heard" ....from several others, that it cant be done !
My response was that it would jus another trailer, like any other, jus get everything in order, registration, insurance, etc, etc
"I'll take it across for ya ...no problemo"

Thanx all

I've hauled empty boat trailers back and forth for many years. Many others I know have done the same. Last year I rode with a driver from ElCajon to Mulege pulliing an new empty trailer. We were never even asked for the paperwork.

Never a problem with the paperwork/insurance/etc. done properly.

Rest easy and have a relaxed trip.
