Almost 8 pounds
Obviously not in Baja, but the best substitute I can find at the moment. Here is a photo of a nice, almost 8 pound brown my younger daughter caught
on Silver Creek, Idaho yesterday morning on her flyrod using a self-tied wet fly. Also, right next to the creek bull elk were bugling and the cows
talking just as the sun was rising; almost surreal. Released unharmed. b1
When the winds turn white in Idaho, it\'s my time to visit the banana trees of Baja.

Nice fish! You know how in "hero" shots the fish usually comes back looking smaller than you remember it? Not this time. That is one, fat brown.
Congratulations to your daughter. What a smile.

Now that's a marvelous fish!
I'm so jealous. That place has great hatches in the fall with nobody around to bother you. But a brown like that wont take a dry.

NICE FISH!!!!!
Big fish on a fly you tied is just the best. The rush is always so good. My wife doesn't understand how I would rather spend my money on fishing gear
and release the things.I thought I could save money if I tied my own flies. I could buy
sushi grade fish for the rest of my life on what I have spent on fishing gear. I can say the same about my all the material for tying the darn fly's.
You can't beat the rush of catching fish.
