Sorry Ken I never heard of it.
I am one of thos Country Boy Musaice Lovers.
Many years ago would go to the Pallidium in Hollywood and Dance to lawerance Welk, One of the Greatist that ever played Music.
His show are still being played on RFD TV.
Course I liked that slow Bell-rubbing Music which generally winds up in Bed with a Beautifull Lady!
I just can"t see jumping around and Screaming Like a bunch of Monkies!

Dennis- You are either a genius or just plain lucky. Trivia: Mouseketeer Bobby (Burgess) went on to have a long run dancing on the Lawrence Welk show.
Go figure.

But what if (just speaking hypothetically, of course) one wanted to wind up in bed with a beautiful monkey lady?
I know, I know, you'd have to go to Anthony's for that, stupid question . . . .

no.
that norteno stuff sounds like screeching cats with accordians. |
Not to mention that they sound like they're singing with clothespins on their noses.
I can't stand the racket. |
The clothespin on the nose stuff you refer to are corridos or "narco-corridos", interprted by the likes of Valentin Elizalde, Chalino Sanchez, and El
Chapo de Sinaloa to name a few. In my opinion this type of music almost always glorifies narcos and their way of life. I despise that type of music.
Norteņas typically tell a story of love, life on the road, or life on the ranch, etc. Go to youtube.com and look for the song "La Mesera", or "El
Chubasco", these are typical norteņas.

i watched Larry Welk a lot for bemusement.. i like the band, the horns and woodwinds the most.
that guy bobby Burgess is an amazing hoofer.
the moves he makes with the LW girl they peg him each week with are better by far than anything performed on Dancin' wit the stars. Especially since
he has to sing often.
wonder what he's up to now? probably vodka...

Thanks to all the Music Lovers--All Types.
Boy! that Mickey Mouse club brought Tears to my Eyes.
When I was about 5 years on one Sturdat night a Month all of the Ada Community would meet at the Hamlin Ranch and Danc all night then go to the
Calvary Church for Sunday Service.
Guess that is where I learned to Dance.
For you Youngsters, take a good look at the Faces of those Kids. Happy, Happy.
