Christmas Eve in San Jose

Just found out the kids will be arriving San Jose at 4pm Dec 24th and because of the road construction between Cabo and Todos... think we should spend xmas eve, maybe xmas day in San Jose.
Would love some recommendations on places to stay, eat and be merry!!!
I am sure no one knows better than Nomads!!:bounce:

Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be

Try the Tropicana, lots going on around there that time of year. Dancing at Don Sanchez close by.

I absolutely second that recommendation. Nice rooms. Nice restaurant and bar, with entertainment, and a sidewalk cafe. And, it's only about a block from the church, which will make the town square quite the place to be that evening.

Is there a Posada in San Jose del Cabo in the days before Christmas?

Be sure to ask for the local rate and make your reservation yesterday.
There is also El Encanto which is a little bit more expensive and would probably be quieter and there is a new low end place Cielito Lindo which is supposed to be real nice. All 3 are downtown.

Mulegena. There are private posadas for sure. I would imagine there is one in the square but I dont know the date.
