Any Nomads Living South on Home Hemodialysis?

Are my Baja Dreams about to end, or can the logisitics of having someone on Home Hemodialisys workable down south. I would assume that supplies would need to be shipped etc. Anybody have any experience with this?

knuckles, I know you're looking for first-hand experience, but while waiting for a possible response....try googling:

"Home Hemodialisys in Mexico"

There's a lot there, I'm just not sure how pertinent it may or may not be to your specific inquiry.

If you have a specific area in BCS in mind, you might want to talk to a specialist in that area to find out what options are currently available and/or whether your specific plan could be implemented there & what the specialist feels the pro & cons could be, i.e., supplies availability, etc.

Here's hoping this is not a showstopper for you!:bounce:

Do not try to have anything that has to do with medical shipped or mailed into Mexico. It will be confiscated by ADUANA and you cannot retrieve it. This is from hard earned experience.

Thanks for your help and info. I was hoping to hook up with someone who has direct experience with this.

This development is happening just about the time I was firming up my plans to migrate to a more remote area.

Guess we should rethink that one for now. Or just take all the money and blow it in 6 months then apply for obamacare.
