Try going here. These are the best tide charts I have ever found for Baja and you can print them out. I can tell at a glance what the best fishing days are going to be. For yellowtail, I look for the larger swings in tide.

Are you shore fishing or boating?

Go to bajaquest, can't remember the exact address,
you might search in bajaquest under surfing,
fishing, there is an excellent San Felipe chart
out of a University in Carolina, of all places,
you can adjust the chart for days, time, feet from
meters, etc. the best

Go to the springs after the high tide has gone back out to the lowest pool. That way, the hot water is freshly flushed out, in case anyone was bathing in them earlier and left them sudsy!

Careful where you place your feet in the tubs... the thermal water coming up from underground is VERY hot... that is why you need the cooler sea water to blend with them... High sulfur smell, but really helps body aches and pains...

It has been over 20 years since I last enjoyed them... Please report what you find... and take pictures.

Went last trip and by chance we timed it right. Pretty cool to sit in nature's hot tub, looking out over the ocean (sea?), drinking a (can of - no bottles!) beer, taking it all in.

I wasn't a believer in the 'health' effects, but both me and the wife felt - cleansed is the only word that makes sense...

will write up a n00b trip report.

Deno, I have plenty of flaws... my heart is too big and I want to make everybody happy... but, I just don't have that kind of power... I try, but fail (here on Nomad a lot). ;D

Check out the Papa Fernandez website for a Puerticitos tide chart that's easy to read. http://www.papafernandez.com
