phone access - San Felipe
Another n00b question:
I have an AT&T Blackberry. I'm in the process of a job search, so I need the ability to receive calls and to make calls. I can have calls go to
Google Voice for incoming and read the voice mails (cool!), but AT&T wants a discounted rate of 0.25 cents a minute for 'roaming'.
I looked at Skype, but it seems to be Verizon only and the ability to call an access line doesn't seem to be available in Mexico (although I think I
would still be paying .025 a minute while on th access line).
any other ideas? Calling card (which one?)? Skype from my laptop?
Any better ideas?

Skype from your laptop. Works perfectly for me.

AT&T has a Mexico plan. About $50 a month gets you 400 minutes to call from Mexico to USA. Unused minutes rollover. There is no roaming charge.

Did you buy a additional package for Baja?
Or was it the normal 39.95 a year?
