we drove past Mulege today and I wondered where you were since we hadnt heard from you in so long. I just assumed you had gone to Italy.
Roger - next time go to our dentist in TJ. Samuel Gomez, right across from the wax museum - walk towards thea arch. Les had 2 mollars pulled a week
and was eating that evening 
Happy New Year - if you can make it to LA BOCANA, I promise we will take you under our wing along with Mike and Don Kay and Solo, who should be here

Pompano, so sorry to hear about your ordeal. That had to be by far the worst of your many trips up the Baja trail. Take it slow and easy and ease back
into your old lifestyle again. Look forward to your posts again soon.

I was unsure of your post whether you plan on going to see co-pilot or go back down to Coyote. If you need to get MOHO back down I will be happy to
take it for you (or with you) and will catch a ride back up to get my rig.
Since I am a complete newby here’s the dope. Been lurking for awhile knowing I will end up back in the Baja and after a hiatus of fifteen years off
the West Coast it’s now time. Enjoying all the posts and miss your sunrise shots although the spot has been wonderfully filled by another BN in your
absence.
Stayed at Vince’s place in the early 90’s, last time I was down before I left for other parts (unknown, even to me in some respects) and just
returned. Am now in Pacific Beach. Sold Vince and Patty (Patsy?) the home they are probably still in as they loved it, in Coronado, in the late 80’s
or early 90’s while I was living aboard my boat at Coronado Yacht Club. Wonderful people. Does she still have that Carousel horse in the living room?
Fell in love with the Baja a long time ago through Francisco Munoz. Although I married her best friend I was terribly in love with his daughter Olivia
and was visiting by air and land before the road went in. Will be down in the next week or so for a long awaited reunion with that beautiful place
and her people. Posts tell me it has changed dramatically, hasn’t everything?
Way long, particularly for a first post. I enjoy your life’s outlook and real glad you are still around Guy. Let me know if I can help in any way.

I am so sorry you had such a rough time. We had no idea! Thank you for filling us in today. Continue building your strength before attempting the
drive back to Mulege.
I am aware the it is very cold there in San Diego, y mucho lluvia. Maybe some local Nomads can get your location and peek in on you and maybe do some
grocery shopping for you. You need to take it easy and slow.
There have been some complications that are preventing my departure from Nevada City. Hopefully I can get back to Mulege in February.

On a walkabout...
Thanks everyone for your good wishes and concern. I can tell you that a couple times on that trip I thought I'd better
take a good hard look around ..because it might be my last view of Baja.
It was a 'bizarre' trip to say the least. And that hosptial bed with the blood bags hanging all around me, beeps, mess of tubes, lights flashing,
some weird burbling....brrrr...I felt like a damn decorated Xmas tree.
But, as the saying goes... 'That's history now.' I'd lose my North Dakota-native rating if I let a little thing like low body-temp slow me down.
(By the way, a full-fledged blizzard just creamed most of Fargo. Grab the shovels and blowers, guys ...and watch out for the snowplows.)
I stood convalescing at the cozy KOA in Chula Vista as long as I could, and then lit out for Algodones, Mexico (south of Yuma) .....to get my
dental work done that started all this excitement.
A golden opportunity for a little more R&R before crossing the pond.
I'm not going to enter any sprinting contests for awhile, but am okay to shuffle along here and there. I'm getting to like young
ladies opening doors, pushing my shopping carts, etc. Gotta practice a little more with the limp...
Arizona/Mexico Update: Yuma area. 170 miles east of SD. Got here a couple days ago, enjoyed New Years with some Baja amigos from Arizona at thier
rancho with great barbeque, and have won more than lost at Texas Hold-Em poker in the Quechan Casino near Algodones.
On Monday I'll drive the 7 miles to Algodones, park & leave my trusty Southwind in lot on US side, pick route for senoritas, then shuffle/limp
across into the morass of dentists who work in that village... and find mine by personal interview.
I tried to call a couple recommended by Nomads from a recent dentist thread, but the phone numbers are now disconnected...and one was answered by a
collection agency?....go figure.

Hola and welcome to posting on the forum. Good to meet another Coyote affeciando. I just left Vince the other day after he saved me by getting me to
the ER. One of the good guys is an understatement.
As in my case, Coyote Bay has been his place of wonder for many decades.
I know you will have some memories to revisit on your upcoming return to our area. The old haunts are as beautiful as ever...
Wish I was there to meet you, but maybe next time. Saludos, hombre.
Now..this is Sunday..Hmm....what should I do? Can you say..."All In"...?

Bad burritos and a bad dentist, what a combo plate!!! Glad you are a survivor Pomp! I need to make a run from La Paz to La Mision in the next couple
weeks, there was not enough room in the Tundra or my boat to haul everything down in one trip. If you need anything brought up, or any help getting
back down, I will have Dra. Bajabass in tow, and could ride with/help you drive down. Ya better take care of yourself, or co-pilot will kill you!

Holy cow Pompano! The delirium a person has when severely ill is often a welcomed protective mechanism and hopefully the grim details of your recent
illness is sort of a blur. Thank goodness you got there in one piece considering you were such a sick puppy.
In my ER and ICU days, I'd think "man I hope I never have to have one of these" as I inserted the various tubes you described in to the various
orifices of some very sick people, and "Lord I really hope I never have a GI bleed" cause it's at the top of the list of miserable illnesses to have.
Glad to hear you're on the mend and getting your strength back.
Take it easy señor, and enjoy your new "Bland" diet. yuk
