Costa del Sol is also nice. Right in town, the hotel with the tile roof. Or Diaz's in their bungalos. Good luck,

Costa del Sol (but in the original rooms, not the new building). Food is great there, too!

:?: don't know what Davids answer will be but, last time I was there the new building wasn't hooked up to the electric grid and only had generator power for a few hours at night and none in the morning:?:

We stayed there (new building as orig. rooms were full) one night, New Years Day 2009... and the mattress on the bed was like a rock... We should have just brought our air mattress in.

We left early the next morning to go find and photograph the 'lost mission'... so the back pain was soon forgotten... We drove from Bahia Las Animas to El Rosario to sleep on a Baja Cactus luxury mattress the next night!

Hotel mattresses are a crapshoot because of personal preference. I've stayed in one of the new rooms at Costa del Sol and really liked the firm mattress.

I've stayed there often. But on hot days I don't recommend the room next to the office. The air vent I think is connected to the office. Open the windows, still warm.

It seems like every time I drive past Costa Del Sol I see a group of bikes there. And her food is pretty good by LA Bay standards.

Yes...I agree with motoged. We stayed there for a few days and found it clean and professional. The meals were so so. I rather eat at a dinky little shack.

Our favorite is really the:

True Baja feeling, out of town a bit, secured as hell, owners are fantastic....good decent rates.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.
