If I were there my first meal (and maybe second) would be Mita Gourmet.
Here is a review with pics I posted recently.

George,
Take her to Mita Gourmet and ask Juan Carlos to make you some
"Plaza Shrimp" with chipotle dipping sauce, as an appetizer.
Then order the Caesar salad and a nice entree. You'll BOTH love it.
Nothing against Augie's, but it is more of a BAR than a nice place to take your special lady.

I think the place BajaBlanca is talking about is Mediteranio. (Sic) David K, (Mr. Spell check), help me with the spelling.
A little pricey, good food with a million $ view.
The best food in town is actually at the Mission Hotel. Very, very pricey but excellent food. La Mission Hotel is sort of like an elevator in out
house, it just does not belong. It’s to fancy a place for my beloved little Loreto.
A must for lunch is Picazon, just ask where it is.

We are going to try it tonight. We spent the day biking around Loreto --so we know where it is now

Mita Gourmet is among the best, but
If you are into mesquite broiled steaks and chops, give Domingo's Place a try. Really nice outdoor patio in the back. Between the new Hotel Santa Fe
and Hacienda Suites on Salvatierra.
