They would like to see a Passport, but if you don't have one, the military ID will be better than nothing. Just be apologetic. Attitude in that place
is everything and that ain't no joke.

I thought current military policy did not allow military members across the border?
You will probably be sent to secondary for questioning.

my son's GF is in the military. we crossed a couple of times in the past year with her Mil. ID and no problems. I am starting to think it actually
helps us from being sent to secondaries.
BTW my son(29 YO) still crosses with his CA DL.

my son was with us for 2 weeks-got a tourist visa as we drove down to Cabo and has a military passport. They did question him why he was in MX-told
them that is where his folks live so it was not a prob after that

My son is in the Army out of CO. and was out for the Baja 1000. He did have to get permission and gave them some details of the trip. It's probably a
lot easier to go to Baja than the mainland with the exception of TJ.

Our son lives in Imperial Beach, CA and is in the Navy there. Every time in the last 2 years his CO and his CO have refused permission to cross the
border into Baja. He explains that we are traveling thru to BOLA and that we stay on the beach out of town and fish, and still no permission. He
has never felt the pull of a Humboldt Squid or and nice Yellowtail maybe someday he will work it out and will be able to bring his family down to join
in the fun. Good luck to you shortcut, I hope you are able to cross and have a wonderful time.

Hi! Are you the same 'ofer' that was on Amigos de Baja in 2000-2002 when I was having the Viva Baja get-togethers?
Baja Angel's son was pitting for the Baja 1000 a few weeks ago and crossed back north with just his driver's license and birth certificate... no
problema at Calexico.
