Loreto Accommodations
I am looking for recommendations for inexpensive (under $75) accommodations in Loreto. I will be traveling by motorcycle last half of February. I
have Googled, TripAdvisored, and scanned the BN Accommodation reviews and am left still curious...
Thanks

Hotel Angra is good. Secure gated parking, large new rooms, continental breakfast, pet friendly, less than $60 a night for a double....dt

I was confused by the original post and so checked out TripAdvisor.com
no wonder motoged was asking. I'm a local and of the 17 hotels listed (one thno longer exists and a number of good hotels aren't even mentioned), I
wouldn't recommend 6 of them and the prices/reviews are all over the board.
reality\'s never been of much use out here...

But, at $89 is over the price is seeks.
We stayed there... nice but over-priced (IMO) for the old 1950's style highway lodge motel rooms. However, if there isn't anywhere else available it
is nice and quiet and a great cooled pool (in the summer).

We camped at the Loreto Shores Villas & RV Park:

This link to "Welcome to Loreto" might have a few more accomodation possibilities:

Another vote for Coco Cabanas . Best value for the price (IMO). Nice and clean. Heated or chilled pool (depending on the time of year).
Kitchenettes in the rooms for those so inclined to use them. And the best caretakers a person could want....not the cattle call type hotel.

Motoged, Coco Cabanos isn't charging $89 anymore. They have a weekly rate of $79 per night and you can get this rate even if you are only staying for
a day or few, and with your Nomad discount you'll probably be down to your budget price. They include all the taxes in their rate. My wife and I were
there over Christmas time. We stayed in cabano # 6. Heated pool and comfortable new beds. Contact Barrett at barrett@coco-cabanas.com

When we checked in at Coco Cabañas (July, 2009) I specifically asked the American man at the desk if he would consider offering a Baja Nomad rate...
At the time, he was firm on the quoted price... so it is nice to see he has decided to offer Nomads one now!

I stayed at La Damiana Inn when I was in Loreto back in November. Nice place and pretty quiet for being in center of town. Rooms were clean and the
owner is very nice and helpful. If you want a fancy place with all the bells and whistles this is not it but for a quaint spot in the center of town
it was great.

Loreto hotel rates have softened considerably due to lack of tourism. I see no one mentioned Hacienda Suites. Big pool. Gated, locked parking in the
rear. Current standard room rate is $68. Another factor for me anyway, is Domingo's Place restaurant right next door.

Gracias everybody for the good "intel" I have enough to go on as to
where to look when I ride into town from Commandu and San Javier...
La Damiana and Hotel Angra are appealing most to me at this time....I will finally figure it out when I get there.
