checking status of FM2/3 application on line...

I got a paper when I applied for my FM2 last week. supposedly one can check on line to see whether the card is ready. I keep getting the message that the server can't be found. the site given is http://www.inm.gob.mx/solicitudes-web/seguimiento-tramite.ht...
has anyone been successful in doing this lately? granted I could be mistyping but I've tried it a number of times...

New URL to check on progress of FM2/3 application

INM changed the URL of the page with no warning or notice. Try this link:

Seguimiento de Trámite (check on the progress of your application)

Repeated below, with just the bare URL:

http://inami.gob.mx/index.php/page/Seguimiento_de_Tramite

thank you very much, that got me to the correct page. I think.
I am assuming the 'pieze; is the application number, with or without all the zeros. and that the contrasena is the password on the receipt? of course that is the one on the page with the incorrect password, so...???
when I try various combinations of the above, I get the message the 'pieze' is not recognized. does that mean that the FM2 has not been processed, or that I am not understanding the above?

One of the very few advantages of using an independent agent. They let you know.

When I renewed my FM2 last June, I also got the 'pieza not recognized' message on the website. I tried every combination of numbers I could think of (contrasena, NUT, etc..) to get it to work, and nothing worked. I finally went to the La Paz office in person and the agent was able to pull up my file and, if I remember correctly, he just simply used my name to do it.

As things turned out, my new document was ready and the agent couldn't really explain why that info wasn't posted on the website...other than to say that it was strange. If the appropriate amount of time has gone by and you think your document should be ready, I'd go to your local office and see what they can do.

The information wont be "posted" on the internet. You must put in your number and password for the site to display your status.

At least in my case, you did NOT use a lot of the numerals at the front of both the identifying number and the password.

To access the on-line status use the "pieza" number and the "contrasena". These will open another screen with a drop down box where you select the "NUT" number of your application. When the message "Presente a la oficina INM..." appears in the status box, it's time to go to the office.

Okay, it's actually easy.
My bad...I didn't look at the piece of paper well enough.
the Pieza numero is at the top left, under the INM symbol. no zeros needed when entering it.
the NUT is in the boxed area to the left of your name
the password/contrasena is in the paragraph under the boxed in stuff
EASY PEASY, no agent needed. just the help of Nomads! thanks.

Hook - that's just it...I DID enter my number and password and got a "not recognized" message, so I couldn't even access my own particular private page (or section or whatever you want to call it) on the INM website...and therefore didn't know (and couldn't know) what the status of my request was.

I expected to see a message saying "come to the office - your document is ready" and I expected to see that info posted in MY particular private file or page.

The agent in the La Paz office could not access my file with the number and password either - he also got the "not recognized" message. He finally pulled up my file by simply using my name.

Apologies if that wasn't clear in my other post.

I just hope the system works more smoothly this year when I go to re-new.
