Fresh Abalone in Ensenada

Has anyone bought the farm raised, live abalones, from the aquaculture office near the Mercado Negro? If so, how was it? How much did it cost per kilo and did they clean, trimmed, cut and pound it for you?

I believe that the guy in that office is the owner/operator the the ab farm on the road to erindira/ coyote cal's. you can buy them there but they are small and don't come cleaned and pounded.

Fresh Abalone Ensenada

Yes, that guy does run the abalone farm you mentioned and the size he sells are 3" to 4", very small. Does the Mercado Negro ever sell them?
