Any body know how to get a wind forecast? Would be nice if I could plan my trip south around the wind.

Baja has both larger weather patterns and localized weather patterns?
You could check any number of weather resources but many are only using computer models to predict the wind in general and are not accurate. A human
local forcast is better.
If you could be more specific about your exact location and your destination perhaps someone might direct you to a better forecast.
here are a few resources

I want to go down to B.C.S. for a camping trip, soon. I have not yet selected an exact location. I hope to avoid strong wind. Are there areas with
less wind than others?

Joe in BCS today is windy, very windy all over, the wind usually lasts for a cycle of 3-4 days followed by calmer weather for 3-4 days. February is
often pleasant but is known for being pleasantly breezy, today is super windy 20-30knots and its cool. In general the wind has been moderate this year
and not super windy compared to averages. Wind tends to be localized by pressure gradients and thermals and therefore one can find locations nearby
with less wind versus others with higher wind. For example, the wind is usually northerly this time of year so a southern facing beach would have less
wind. It tends to be cyclically windy on the coast and less so on the Sea of Cortez followed by cycles of less wind on the coast and more on the Sea
of Cortez. The distance from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific is usually less than 50 miles.
I wouldn't worry about it and just come and learn, if its windy and you don't like that change your direction and go where its less windy.
In general its more often windy on north facing beaches in La Ribera, Los Barriles, La Ventana, Magote and La Paz.

Try this for PWS's in Baja and you can check the stations daily that are logging wind dir. and speed. Will give you an indication of daily patterns.

with all of the technology at our fingertips, it still is one of the great equalizers of a planned trip.
is the sun gonna shine, the tides will be right, the surf will pump, the wind will be perfect, the crowds, and the fish will arrive-on time.....
good luck with your trip. if you plan to stay more than a day i'm sure you will have varying degrees of perfection.

Many of us sailors in La Paz use sailflow.com. It gives you several days ahead, wind by the hour, has been more accurate than others, and...there's
an ap for that on your Iphone or Ipod Touch. 52 degrees this morning in the marina in the boat. Wind allnight, bouncing around. I can't recall this
combination of wind and cold in the past twelve years here. There was frost up in El Triunfo yesterday morning. Sailflow indicates this is the last
day of the "screaming blue Norther". Hope so.

Old folks have a tendency to say things like that.....more than once.
At this moment, the wind is ZERO. I think that episode has passed.

Twenty some years here in Loreto.
Don't recall the wind ever being this strong, besides a hurricane , and
being this cold.
But maybe it feels this way because of my old bones..

This too shall pass.
The most common agravation of a wind event here is the occasional loss of power. So far this time, no problem.
