Eating the worm keeps you from getting to drunk.......when sharing the bottle everyone who is scared of the worm drinks more leaving you only the last
little bit with the worm

we used to buy that rot gut in oaxaca back in the 80's. the worm tasted just like chewing a matchbook cover (cardboard). it doesn't squirt like a
cherry tomato if that makes you feel better about trying it!

just a gag. it's a caterpillar larvea or something that lives on the maguey plant. some people swear to have seen Quetzalcoatl after a night of
drinking mezcal and eating the worm..... you'll never know until you try it.
