Guaymas Ferry Running?

Wondering if anybody online is in Santa Rosalia and has been seeing the ferry coming in lately? We heard that it has been very windy in the Sea of Cortez. Hoping to take the ferry this Thursday but haven't done this before.. If anybody has any tips, would appreciate them.
We'd be leaving from Guaymas. Thanks.

The ferry runs pretty regular this time of the year, but since it is a fairly small boat, it does not run when the seas are too windy. We just finished a terrible storm that had 12 foot seas and 50 knot winds which would make that stretch dangerous for that ferry. Thursday should be a little better, although Bouyweather has predicted fairly strong winds for that day, but they drop off and get calmer Friday and Saturday, so if it does not run, it should run within a day or two. The captain is very good and handles the ferry like it was a small cartopper boat.

Don't take that ferry if the forecast is for wind, I have seen it standing off Santa Rosalia for an entire day because it was too windy to dock, I would imagine that it was not a pleasant experience for the passengers.

I am wondering if anybody in Santa Rosalia had actually seen it running recently. The website email is no longer working...Vamos Travel who used to book tickets in Nogales AZ isn't there anymore...and the website phone # for the ferry isn't a valid number either. There's no way to book it in advance........and we don't want to drive 6 hours from Tucson to Guaymas only to find out they are no longer in business....
Any input greatly appreciated as we were planning to do this on Thursday....

Okay, I don't live in Santa Rosalia but 15 miles south at San Bruno. Yes the ferry is still running. You might want to go to the webpage which has all the numbers which worked last time I used them. I have never seen them standing off of the dock at Santa Rosalia but they probably have as monoloco reports, but this captain can dock that baby in some pretty nasty stuff, but the pier where they dock is inside the marina at Santa Rosalia. But they will not go if the waves are too bad. Try going to
