Does anybody know off-hand how much more expensive is the propane delivered by Zetagas as opposed to hauling my tank over to get filled? Truck broke
down, and now it's cold showers.

Same thing, as far as I know. Don't tell me you've been dragging your tanks to the gas company.

Especially when you don't need them, they'll sit outside your door honking the horn.
Get a back-up tank and you won't go without hot water again. best place to buy one is right off the truck, full. The price is right.

I just put $3000 in the house tank plus 2-5lb'rs & 1-1lb for $227 today all at the same rate $5.3153/lt total 547 liters.
last Sept it was $5.2162/lt. Not much of an increase in 7 months.
I think as long as the truck has the adapter to fit your tank you're good to go.
Plus tip

Do they fill your own tanks, or do they only switch out full ones?

They switch them out, but you have to be careful that they give you a full one. Alot of them have been caught selling half full tanks.

The price has been the same except the tip. Make the run anytime they never close.

Here the only ones I've heard of being switched are the tall ones painted with the companies colors and they travel around in a flat bed /stake truck
side loaded with them. When the tank truck comes around they will fill them also.

Propane down here is sold by weight. There's little or no nonsense going on with the weight or sales here that I've heard of recently.
Before there was more than one distributor in Ensenada, it was brutal. I've seen 45 kilo tanks filled with water delivered off trucks. If you have a
bulk tank with a gauge, you know how much you will need and you know what it costs. How bad can it get?
I tip these guys heavily because, I like them and I want them to like me. I know that doesn't sound right, but after they gas me up, have a beer or
two and leave, I feel I got treated squarely. One less thing to think about.

They'll mix and match the exchange of tanks. They don't care what color it is.

In Tijuana, the Zeta gas song is very different. This isn't a high quality sample, but it's what I could find. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45akZ9ouBjQ&feature=relat...
