yeah, mcfez, mateo, the guide down by the river mouth, is a fish finding fool!...and one helluva nice guy to boot!....you'd love a day on the water
with him!....we're taking him out on our big boat this next tuesday; it's really cool that way; he just drives the boat and takes us to all his
favorite spots and we just sit around and wait for the fish to chomp with no responsibility...he also has a nice big panga that he guides out of..try
him, you'll like him1
dyslexia is never having to say you\'re yrros.

Need a guide to catch fish? Might as well buy 'em at the local fish market. It'd save you a few $$$.

Weather permitting, I'd go to BA. Hopefully we'll get another high pressure by then!

If I were here in mid-March you'd be more than welcome to come fish with us..as would any other visiting nomad.
For sure, I'll be fishing..but off the Pacific coast of Panama..over the Hannibal Banks...where the monsters live!
I see Mateo every day at the Mulege boat ramp..I'll tell him to plug the biggest leak and get ready.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

tis good to have options. but, where do i find Mateo? if i start asking around, i'm afraid everyone i ask will introduce himself as Mateo!
and where would a pacific side guy camp and expect his stuff to be there upon return?

woody with a view, Just go to the boat ramp on the south side of the river and ask. Camp? See Manuel at Don Chano's on the north side of the
river.

Woody..like Cypress says..find Mateo at his casa just across the road from the river boat ramp near the Serinadad Hotel. Everyone in town knows
Mateo..andl I doubt any would pull a stunt like saying they were him.
I think you mean 'where to camp and leave your gear unprotected on the Paciific coast' of Baja..right? Can't help you with any current or good
advice. I could have years ago...but this ain't Kansas anymore, Todo. Baja...it is what it is. RThieves abound these days,.

I second (or third?) the vote for Mateo. Hombre knows the spots, I learned a bunch going out with him a couple years ago.
I'm going to have to start looking for Pompano's Yar Craft when at la Bahia next month. That thing always seems to have jurel hanging over the side.

"MATEO" - MULEGE FISHING GUIDE
I first met Mateo back in ...well, a long time ago. I'm going to quit mentioning how long I have hanging around down
here..I'm not that old!..I couldn't be!!
He a righteous dude. (..'righteous dude'...Now that's another first time expression for me..I don't much like it.)
Jurel catcher..so much so, we have named a good yellowtain hole after him. Pompano's Ho..er..Mateo's Hole. And without
further ado..here he is in action at that very same hole.

(Mateo...you now owe me 3 Pacificos - payable when I see you on the Cortez)
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

it's gonna be too chilly for night time nekidness, at least for this kid. but a good ole fashioned pajama party sounds epic.....
we will plan to leave our camp set up and pay the cartel and/or coyotes to keep an eye on things while we're gone. what is the itinerary? the 16th is
great. we'd prolly get to GN late afternoon, get a room, find the biggest scallops in town, catch a buzz, and wake up and go to the lagoon before the
wind comes up in the morning. is it going to be a group buy at the hotel? can you get us a rez?

camp-unless plans change!
