we just got back from the mainland today, and yesterday - sunday - when we went to buy some beer in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, to bring home to Baja
(they have Indio and Victoria there) we could not buy any at an OXXO market after 4 pm. We were told to go to a DEPOSITO and then they could sell it
to us at any time .......
As far as we know, except at elections, beer is always for sale here in la bocana. yesterday caught us by surprise and we could not buy neither Indio
nor Victoria to share with our amigos ...

I normally buy my first six pack at Commercial in Vizcaino....the smile and greeting I get from the lady working there is well worth the wait and
price. I'm not sure if she always recognizes me but she always remembers my son.
I'm not too worried about finding the best deal but instead buy my cerveza from friendly stores with cold beer.

It's not Baja but it's funny.
This line was from the Orlando Sentinel regarding a current law in Eustis FL which restricts alcohol sales before noon on Sundays.
"Eustis began restricting the sale of alcohol on Sundays years ago as an effort to curb churchgoers from stopping by a bar on their way to Sunday
services."

Around San Felipe beer prices are pretty much pre set by the distributors. All the stores around town charge the same.

That's pretty much everywhere. The larger stores are getting into sales but price-fixing to avoid competition has been the way of things here
forever.
Competition terrifys the businessman here.
The beer distributors will open a retail outlet on their premises, but keep the price at the agreed upon level so as to try to seem fair to their
competitors....their customers. If they had a heart, they'd leave the market to them.
