Chinese Restaurant in La Paz & more . . .

Been to the one on the north end of the malecon several times. Looking for another to try. Also, a post awhile back mentioned as artery clogging biscuit & gravy place. We'll be in La Paz this weekend. Like to get a fix at both places. Thanks! (Searched Nomad for same without luck.)

Not that it is in time to do you any good, but next trip you might try the relatively new "Chinese" buffet on Avenida Las Garzas (the street the oldest Ley's grocery store is on), near Sonora street. While little resembling stateside Chinese food, it isn't bad, and only costs 85 pesos, including refill drinks.

Theres only one decent chinese restaurant in town, the one Bill collector talks about, across Soriana. All others are mediocre at best.

The restaurant is on the east side of Forjadores, across the street from Soriana Mall, and accessed only from the south side at the point where the road from Los Planes makes its oblique curve onto Forjadores. Accessing the restaurant's driveway is, therefore, a little dicey, as one has to watch out for (and maybe cross in front of) traffic entering onto Forjadores from the Los Planes Road.

Confused enough, yet?

I've had two meals there, so far -- both okay, not great, but better than most.
