I would agree on the ambience and charm. I like both places. Being an off roader and being involved with racing I really enjoy my trips to San Felipe.
I also like the few trips I make to Mulege. Heck I like all of Baja away from the border. Even Cabo is OK to visit just not my kind of town to stay
very long in. The only town I like at the border is Tecate. I think it is a tough call on which town to retire to. Renting first is the best advice.

There's some pretty good medical facilities in Santa Rosalia. They were able to diagnose a friend's lacerated kidney after a bad fall on a dirt bike.
I prefer Mulge. Good selection of restaurants, I've met lot's of riendly people there. I would be wary of riverfront property because of flooding
issues. San Felipe seems too much like a party town for my tastes. If you like wind, you could settle inbetween in Bahia De Los Angeles. There's
lot's of great dirt biking to be done around Mulege. I would rent though, in the long run it might be cheaper, definately less headaches and you'll
be able to move around to different areas.

You see where more people voted him as more competent than Gadafi. I think they were just impressed with his girlfriends.

Actually, neither appeal to me to live in. Too much hustle and bustle. Mulege 4-wheeler rush hour/Happy Hour is frightening along the river road.
Great for city slickers like toneart and mulegemichael.
Thank God I'm a Country Boy.
Naw..Mulege gets my vote, too. Visit both for a week....and ye shall know the truth.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Thanks Pompano and all that responded. We have spent a fair amount of time in Mulege/Bajia de Concepcion and know it is for us. However, having only
spent a day or so in SF I really didn't have an opinion. My wife would love to have her brother near us in Mulege and hopefully this thread will give
him the incentive to at least give it a try. I am hoping he will take up McFez's offer to camp on his land long enough to decide if Mulege (or
anywhere else in Mexico) is for him. Ron
