bike and skateboard ramp in Pescadero ???
One of my skatebaord and bikeclub kids just told me that he saw the most amazing bike/skatebaord concrete ramp near Todos Santos (5 min. away) ..does
anyone know about this ???? He mentioned the name Pescadero as the location but I am not positive of this, since I am not familiar with that area of
Baja.
If you have any way to find out - please please send me some pics of it and who to contact for building instructions/cost estimates etc., as we
would love to build the same thing here in La Bocana.
Gracias, Blanca

Amiga, there was a retired Pro Football player who arrived here about ten years ago. Justin. He fell in love with Surfing and eventually bot
property! Of course! In a genuine effort to give the kids something to do
besides.... he paid for a Pro designed Skateboard Park. Radical, no?! Many a broken arm/leg later it is still here even tho our amigo has
returned al Norte. Still open ; bike ramp, quien sabe. I retired from skateboarding when I discovered Surfing was easier on the bones! Maybe Mono or somebody else can send photos?? Or come and visit Blanca. Mi Casa
es su Casa. Smiles Tiops his wife was a Playboy Playmate!! I chose the wrong career!

hahahahahha oh my goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Well, if you have anyone who wants to try the playboy route - I have connections connections
connections
what a story
I hear there are still tournaments using this ramp ...
too bad I wasn't around when Justin was - we could have built ramps all over Baja Sur ..
thanks so much for the information - radical is a good word. broken arms ? broken legs ? maybe I have to rethink this ????!!!!

I would like to see pics too
I have been thinking about a solid concrete skate park in Mulege. The kids would have fun all year and the water wouldn't do anything to it.

I think that ramp is NOT the one to base your design on. It has one of the most aggressive clamshell sections I've ever seen. Tony Hawk's home ramp
is not as gnarly as that one.
Here's a good one to look at:
http://www.socalskateparks.com/park/SantaMonica
and lots more on that site. Keep it simple. A few hand rails , a Quarter Pipe here and there. Thats all you need.

[Edited on 5-3-2011 by Bajamatic] | You hit the nail on the head Bajamatic, anyone who would let their kid
near that ramp should have their head examined.

holy mackerel - it must be one gnarly ramp..
and not what I have in mind at all
I want something simple that will be big enough to keep the kids busy all year long, every afternoon, for hours and hours so that they have no time to
get into trouble !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I will take a look at some sites, but if you have a plan or desing you can share with me, that certainly would help, amigos ...
