Heading to La Paz this weekend
What are the good seafood restaurants in La Paz and what are the good bars to hangout at along the water. Oh yea, where would one go to watch the
Lakers game?

For sea food try Mariscos Moyeys's on the malecon about one block past Club El Moro Hotel on the right.

Best seafood, La Costa Restaurant, corner of Navarro and Topete. This is three blocks from the end of the Malecon (opposite end from Moyeys) and it
has the best ambiance too.

You might like a rancho viejo carniceria for arachera tacos (sit in the original side not the new side) and breakfast or the rancho viejo mariscos
restaturant for nice salads and simple fish plates, you can sit looking over the water (perhaps its on manuel pineda one half block above Malecon).
Across the street on the Malecon beach side is The Palapa in front of PapasnBeer which is okay for a beer and average hamburger and a great view. La
Perla has a nice restaurant, good seervice/clean. Small taquerias in the street are usually best for fish tacos. Bizmarkcito is worth a stop in the
outer seating area for tacos. Marina La Paz has a nice resturant with great service and average food, they do have a fruit salad.
On El Callejon, a lil alley, there are cafes and its nice in the early morning or afternoon / evening for ambience, there is an internet signal too.
Don't be afraid to walk out of a place if something seems weird or the place has no service after you sit and wait, if it starts bad it gets worse,
get up and go. Also low expectations are best, generally the town is not big on salads but its getting there.
The beaches have nice cafes, El Tesoro, Pichilingue, Tecolote-they are far more expensive so be careful what you order but they often have nice
ceviche and beers.
You may need to catch the general rythm, breakfast is 7-10am lunch is usually 1-5pm dinner is 7pm-12a
You'd be surprised but larger places seem to function worse, I went to Tailhunters for fish many times and they served frozen-fresh heavy battered
shrimp and food that was literally out of the fresh frozen section at walmart. It surprised me and was a huge disappointment, but I understand
restaurants have trouble with chefs often. I hear there may be a new chef now. Other spots like La Concha and various hotels are places to have a beer
but be careful about setting high expectations for food. I hear there is a nice and expensive restaurant at Costa Baja Marina called Azul.
