Border Wait Time Graph?

One of the nomads posted these links for border wait times. It looks like they are updated on a hourly basis.

http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/

http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/portList.asp?action=port&n=25030...

http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/portList.asp?action=port&n=25030...

Does anybody know if there is a website (or something) where this data is captured and graphed? If you had the programming skills I think it would be very easy to do and post them in Google docs or something. I don't!

It would be nice to have the "ebb and flow" of border wait time visualized. Of course, once you publish the info then everybody would know then the data would change
::lol:

sssssssshhhhhhhhhh! We will just keep it between us Nomads!

Problem is, the US border wait times are extremely inaccurate. In this effort, and others, they refuse to offer any real data that could be of use to the bad guy.........or the good guy for that matter. Facilitating your rapid crossing just isn't high on their list of priorities.

Bummer. I was wondering if those time were accurate :O

I guess I will just be the poor slub that leaves San Felipe Memorial Day Monday only to arrive at the border at noon and wait 2 hours to cross. :tumble:

If I was younger I would have a great time all day MDM and cross at night. I just can't do it anymore

I have a sentri pass and it's usually accurate for those lanes. I haven't had to wait in the other lanes for years so I can't speak to that. My advise is to get a SENTRI PASS. It makes all the difference. I've never had to wait more the 20 minutes even on the busiest of days.....

Crossed Tecate Friday morning very short line so they were bored and pulling everyone into secondary and doing the dog thing. I think they go out of thier way to inconvenience you its part of their program.:fire::fire:

just think, if they took 100 cars and ran the dogs thru and then let you go on your way how easy it would be! instead they ask 1,000,000 questions, tell you to pull up to the k-rail and wait, let the dog sniff the dog pee on your tires and then let you go.

at least that has been how they treat me......

Leaving on that day.....I'll bet your wait time will be more than a few hours. We used to pack the cooler box with soda, and take our books to read.....while waiting. I now leave in the middle of the night to go home. Less traffic, cooler...faster exile.

Driving at night will get a lot of horns blowing here from some other BN's  Night driving from SF to the border is perfectly safe. Get behind someone (truck preferred) and drive with no hurry.

If they would take those dogs up to San Pedro and have them sniff cargo containers, it might make some sense, but to concentrate their efforts on families returning from vacation, is a ludicrous failure.
Of course, that's what this whole game is...a ludicrous failure. I can't understand why they continue with the charade. Drugs that originate in Mexico are everywhere in the states. No shortage or price spikes.

It may not be as bad as one would imagine. The days of returning tourist mobs is long gone and, being a holiday in the States, the work traffic will be staying home along with all the K-Mart Shoppers.
Things have changed.

I don't normally promote SENTRI, because I am a selfish bastard, but you guys should really get it. I exit using the east crossing in Mexicali, to head back to my home in Phoenix. And it is so nice to drive down and out in a matter of a few minutes, literally. It is shorter on the east than it was on the west crossing.

Bite the bullet and get er done!

I agree. But its too late this year for Mem day.

It really comes down to value for me. We only travel to SF once a year nowadays. Throw in the cost and ordeal of the resgistration process and i just cant get motivated to do it :)

But as you are driving across the border with no wait time you can be damn sure i would be justifying it all the way home SD. :)

COST ??? About $20 a year for a 5 years. ..:?:..:?:..:o

I bet you'd pay me double that every year when you're sitting in a 2 1/2 hour line and I tell you I can get you through in 15 minutes.
As for the "ordeal of the registration", it's not that bad. As stated in the above post " bite the bullet and get er done". Furthermore, if you had it you would probably use it more often. Sure makes the "WHOLE" trip more pleasureable knowing you don't have to sit in "THAT LINE" on the way home.

But then again,NEVER MIND. As CortezBlue said, maybe those of us who have it should not be promoting it. If all you "unmotivated" guys get it, our line will be longer by 3 or 4 minutes...:P.....:P

Soooo, can I interest you in a slightly used empty coke can with a urinary tube attachment..:?:.. Hasn't been used in years and I'll even sanitize it before I mail it to you. You only pay shipping and handling fees of $29.95.

""BUT WAIT" If you are the first and only caller I'll include the new 1 litre bottle size with the double urinary tube attachment so you and the wife can peee at the same time in the privacy of your own car. FREE ................ Call now....... HURRY !!! .......Supply is limited...:bounce:....:bounce:

I have used the Calexico East northbound crossing over the past 10 years. I have found returning to the US is best accomplished during mid week, arriving at the back of the line between about 8:15AM and prior to 10:30AM. :light:But, there are many variables to this equation too.:?:
When I first used this crossing northbound back in 2001, wait times were never more than 15 minutes. No mas.:(

Originally, i was thinking it was getting pricey do to the fact everybody in the car must have the Sentri card to work. Plus we always had others travelling with us so I thought it wouldn't work that way either.

Now that I know the little trick of dropping people (non sentri) off before the border and have them walk across, it makes more sense. When you consider it that way you are correct. It's very cheap.
