Casita Travel Trailers

Do any Nomads have pictures or more info on these? I'm very interested in these trailers, I've emailed and called the company but still haven't recieved a response. I would appreciate it if anybody could share anything. Thanks!

Thanks Woody, I'll end up buying one, just not sure when or where. I'm waiting on a call about a 2009 that's in San Luis Obisbo, about a half hour from me. If the post is accurate, it's like new, we'll see. I appreciate everybodys help!

PS. I have a smokin deal on a 2002 Trophy, it's the 1802 WA. I bought it new and babied it from day one, under 100 hrs on it with many upgrades, still like a new boat, cabin cushions are still in the plastic, dialed and ready to fish!

The PS on the boat really was an after thought because I'm still not certain I'll sell it, after all it's my baby. But I figured, I can't tow the Casita and the Trophy at the same, trying to figure out the lesser of two evils... Sorry brother, I have over 4k in upgrades and electronics alone. This boat really is dialed in and still looks/runs like new. The Trophy has literally went unchanged from this boat until 2011, the same rig would cost you in excess of 30k today. Somebody will end up with all the extras and a smokin deal if I do end up selling it.;D

I'll see your 5k and raise to 13k. I may even throw in the custom starbaord fish cleaning table, hand held gps, the new bimini that's still wrapped up, a battery booster, a couple of Trinidads, who the hell knows? I need somebody that wants to make me really sell this boat.

PS Find me a good deal on a Casitas trailer, I'm really starting to like them.

You're ABSOLUTELY sure you are willing to accept the limitations on where you can go when you own a travel trailer?

I dont see these Casitas as being very heavy duty. But if you're a campground/pavement kinda guy, then they're fine.

Hi Hook,

It would be mostly pavement, RV parks for the most part. I'm not 100% sold just yet but very interested. Thanks for the info!

Mark-- I sent you a U2U which is a private message. I was wondering if your boat is a walk around or center console. If it`s a WA, I would be interested in buying it! Access the U2U feature below this message where it says--- profile/find/U2u, Gracias

Hi Bill, I was interested in buying your Trophy back in 2002 but like any good fishing fool I ended up buying new instead, not sure if you remember or not. We traded a bunch of pics and info. Let me figure out how to use U2U and I'll check it.

Just wanted to make sure you realize the difference in lifestyles and locations when you go with almost ANYTHING that can be towed.

This being a Baja board, there are a lot of people interested in remote locations and dirt road destinations. While it is possible to get a trailer into some of these locations, the trailer usually pays a heavy price.

Hi Hook,

I've actually spent quite a bit of time in Baja, usually on the East Cape and haven't been down for a couple of years but I'm familiar with a few things. I realize towing, remote locations, etc are a whole new ball game and it's different. I pull a boat or construction trailer around all the time, just not in Baja yet.;D

I appreciate all the good information, that's why I posted here. Thanks.

Casita trailers

We were interested in the smaller trailers--checked out the Casita --just not built for Baja.

Some of the older members will recall the gentleman who had axle trouble with a Casita and was stuck for several weeks in Baja waiting for the special Casita type axle to be shipped to him from the factory..They are just not Baja repairable

Mrs Miller and I had a fully equipped 13 foot "Roust a bout" which we used for 25 years to travel to all areas of Baja. Originally it was stock however over the years it was highly modified inside and out. A large rack in the back for gas, water etc, wheel cut outs, tire size 3 sizes over size, 6 leaf springs (Broken 2 times) reversed axles, extra lights inside and out....so many mods to make it Baja tough and it was...

Will probably never travel around Baja in the immediate future due to health concerns, so sold it to a Santa Maria PD officer several months ago

I also live in Pismo Beach...send a private message with telephone number if you would like to chat,
