tire help
I know this is a stretch but am kinda desperate right now.
I have had 2 blowouts on my camper lately and now am without a spare. I have purchased 4 tires but they are in San Diego (Costco in Cabo wanted $350
each and a 4 week wait to get them) and am hoping Jad driving down from Oregon will pick up a couple of those and drive them down here next week. In
the meantime March 17 is a big day. Really big....like 6ft at 20 seconds big.....and I cant hit the road without a spare (or could I ?). Does anyone have a 35 x 12.5 x 16.5 used tire they would like to sell, lend,
trade? It is an odd size and I cannot find any in the tire shops around Todos Santos and Pescadero. Anyone in Cabo, La Paz, East Cape, Todos Santos
area??
Gracias!

Does any junk yard or tire shop have anything smaller like a 33 inch tire. Unless you have a locker a smaller tire will work in pinch.

With a 16.5 wheel, I am assuming it is 3/4 ton or more, 8 lug bolt pattern. Many 16 inch truck wheels will bolt onto older trucks still running 16.5
wheels. If it is not DRW, check fit on several 16 inch wheels at a wrecking yard, you may have to enlarge the hub center, but they will work. Older
DRW wheels ran an odd offset, and were usually pinned to center up. Many more used 16's than 16.5's out there.

thank you Seņor.
Yes it is F-250, 8 bolt pattern. I only need the tire for a spare so a 33" would work but I cannot find one of those either. Will have to do a run to
La Paz I think.
While I have your expertise on the line. What is the deal with towing a 4x4? Are 4x4 not supposed to be towed rolling or something has to be
disconnected?
Thanks!

If the transfer case has a neutral position it can be towed. If it don't you need to remove the drive shaft if it is for a long distance, probably
over 30+ miles.

I also have 16.5 rims and run BFG's but my spare is 16 and has worked for emergencies only. La Paz should be able to help you. You may have to wait a
couple of days if they're not in stock.

Yup, throw the transfer case in nuetral, and go! You can get a 35 inch tire in a 16, no problem. Try LT315/75/16. Should be within a couple
millimeters of exactly 35".
