What do they have that other liquor stores don't? Must be something to go to all that trouble.

I'll keep an eye out for it down here. Maybe another source will keep you out of the belly of the beast.

According the the San Matias web site, this product should be available at a number of the Northgate Markets around San Diego County.
Can't speak about price.....

Simplest directions. Going south on Avenida de los Heroes take the right turn at the Indian glorietta. Go to the next stop light and turn right at
Sanchez Taboada. Go about three blocks (north) on Sanchez Taboada and look to your left to see the (green) Soriana super market at the southwest
corner of 11th and Sanchez Taboada. Get in the left turn lane and turn left (west) on Avenida 11 or Plutarco Elias (whichever street sign is posted).
Go two blocks to La Playa (right side of street as you drive toward the west).
Cheapest source of hard liquor in all of TJ. Hundreds of Tequila brands and very good selection of Rum and other stuff. Kind of a Home Depot for
booze.

Blas at the Del Mar Market on Popotla Blvd. south of Rosarito has a plethora of tequila for sale in the back room. I'd say thousands of different
kinds.

Looks like the picture was taken on a Monday when they are closed. Just across the street about where the picture was taken from is a nice bakery that
we always hit. They make pan integral stuff including some tasty bollios and other morsels.
La Playa has big selection and good prices.

OK. I know that someone is going to pimp a Sentri at me. I noted that the nectar Woody was seeking is likely available at a number of supermarkets in
the San Diego area, per the web site of the producer.
So, inasmuch as I have no idea about the price differential, I would only suggest that getting a good deal on a premium tequila has a down side when
one must sit in the friggin' border line for hours.
Another thread, recently posted, suggested that at the end of the holiday weekend, waits were as long as 6 hours. As I do not have Sentri, I could
only extrapolate that even the Sentri line must have been an ordeal.
Granted, when one in the know seeks out bargains SOB, they would most likely be avoiding the "(C)"rush hours.
Just wondered that of the Northgate Markets carried this nectar, what would be the pinch point to drive across the border and subject oneself to the
delay.

Better way:
Los Heroes to first intersection Manuel Marquez de Leon (Costco parking will be on your right). Turn right & go one block to Sanchez Taboada. Turn
left and proceed 4 city blocks to 11th street (Plutarco Elias Calles). Turn right. It's about 1-1/2 short blocks on the right.
They take credit cards and offer volume discounts. Like Gull said, in addition to Tequilas they have a good selection of Cuban rums. (Just make sure
you don't let customs see it.)
