How do you hang it in your gun rack in the pickup?? |
Geeze......I bought a special rack made for large cans
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

First sentence "I know the rules". Later "any benefits to removing the cylinder"

Typically, Carrying a Gun
BTW, those that "Typically" carry a gun in an RV are in violation of the law in any U.S. state that prohibits carry in your vehicle.

I found out years ago the safest place to leave my guns while traveling was THE HOCK SHOP they are kept in a safe and when you get ready for your
guns pay a small interest fee and retrive my guns
|
That is a great idea if you do not have any one near by to hold it for you.
I'm in Oxnard Ca., and you can keep it in my safe, if that works for you.

Why Bring a Hand Gun
to Baja?
And risk being sent to a Mexican prison?
Sorry tp interrupt all the jokes, but why would a reasonable person feel that they need to take a hand gun with them here. (Sorry, Mr. BillM, you
have made a life choice, but I assume that you have fulfilled the registration requirements to carry arms.)
There are so many other legal choices for self-defense including the much discussed usage of bug spray.
The military checkpoints have dogs that are trained to sniff for guns, as well as drugs.

Thanks for all the advise and offers to store etc. I just found out that I have a nephew who works at the shipyard in Bremerton that is leaving today
for a 3 month work assignment in San Diego and I can leave the gun with him. Thanks again for all the offers. Ron

I have two rules for foreign travel:
#1) Stay out of third world prison
#2) Remember Rule #1

To BillM- Most states consider a motorhome to be a residence and the same rules apply. I don't know the rules for every state but in the states I
normally travel a handgun in the motorhome (not my towed vehicle) is legal.

Good question,
Not long ago I got a carry permit in WA I did this because I do alot of camping in out of the way spots in the Olympics (absinvestor, I'm 10 mins.
from your nephew) and I was worried that with the current political climate I'd better get it while I could.
.
This has make me wonder, since I'm legal in WA, when traveling in other states am I still legal? (I know better that to take it to another country,
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!) I'm going to have to check this out.
Thanks for the thought provoking question.
Mean people suck!

CWPs are state specific. Your WA permit is good for WA and some other states that have reciprocal agreements with WA.
I have a Utah CWP which is good in 32 states, considered to be the best one out there.

Debra- I grew up in Bremerton. Graduated from West HS in 64. My mom and two sisters still live there. I get up there a couple of times a year. Love to
visit and I too enjoy camping in the Olympics.

In California, an RV is a Motor Vehicle...........
AND, if you're on a public roadway, the rules apply as such.
In a well-publicized event a few years back, some deputies noted a Motorhome with one of those "Protected by Smith & Wesson" Bumper-Stickers.
Asked the owner "Is that True" ? "Yes".
Handcuffs on.
Convicted.
Darwinian selection.
