What is a Boneteria?

There's lots of "...terias" in Mexico.

Panaderia, Carnaceria, Tapaceria, Zapateria, Joyeria, Fruiteria, etc., to name a few.

This trip we saw 2 or 3 signs for Boneteria's. What does a boneteria sell? :?:

The obvious answer is bones but that would be something like huesateria!

While we're on this subject, what other "....terias" are there to add to the list above? :)

Don't know what the Academia Real had in mind, but in Mexico
a BONETERIA is a tailor of men's clothing.
Webster's New World Spanish Dictionary calls it a "haberdashery".

Boy, I didn’t know bonnets were so popular in Baja. Just be careful about bees.

(Weird. The spell checker in a forum about Baja flags the word “Baja.”)

Could be, Dennis. I think it depends on whether or not they measure and make the clothing, or just stock men's haberdashery items, which would include all manner of stuff.
