Hear, hear, I'm your Baja connection for this thead!

Aahh, Esco. Been a while since I've thought of the place. Spend several years of my youth living in that fine corner of San Diego County (although on hot summer days I'd often wish it was on the coast). Attended Grant Jr High (think it's now Mission Middle School), two years at Escondido High, three months at the newly-opened San Pascual High before moving on to Pacific Beach.

But that doesn't help you any, does it?

Seriously? I graduated from Orange Glen High in '76. My freshman year ('72-'73) there was the first year San Pasqual High was open I believe. I had an Escondido area address from 1970 until 1994... then moved to Vista... now in Oceanside.

With apologies to bajaguy...

No sh*t, David. That explains why I like you in spite of your politics. We lived on South Ivy, about a block from the Bank of America from 1968-72. We ended up in Esco because that's where the old '44 Dodge Power Wagon gave out after we left La Paz (we were headed to Davis, CA, but never made it).

And, yes, I attended San Pascual for the first three months after it opened, as a junior. We moved to PB, where I finished HS at Mission Bay High. If you were on the Patriot cross country team as a freshman, we probably saw each other when our schools competed.

Now, back to you, Bajaguy. Sorry for the hijack, but thanks for giving this old guy the opportunity to reminisce. Not very often I think of my high school days.

Dunno, but if I were you, I would be careful. Looks like Curt63 is going to be an SOB for the next two weeks.

Interesting!

......"It's a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma"....

Actually, I have a (small) package in Escondido that needs to be picked up and held for me (somewhere along the 805 or I-15 corridor until August 23rd when I can retrieve it), or if it can find a ride to the Carson City, NV/Lake Tahoe/Reno area.......it doesn't eat or talk, so it should be a great passenger............
